New Exhaust brings unwanted attention...

Not unwanted attention from the Police..


But.... from Boy racers!


I was coming home tonight from the local Bike night, which I drove to. :screwy: But that's ok, I wanted to drive my car with the new exhaust. :p

I decide to take the long way home up the coast, cause well gives me more of a reason to listen to my car.:biggrin:

I'm cruising along, and up ahead are a 4 door Integra and a Civic Ex I assume in the right lanes. I guess they were on the prowl for innocent victims. As I come up on them I look over and notice the Civic has two guys in it, and the Integra has a full house of four gentlemen in it.

I think nothing of it, just two cars... each on 'tuner rims' with a billion spokes and icky exhaust. I guess they heard my car and thought I was easy prey? Who knows.

So they do like Star Wars and go into 'attack formation' and the Integra comes on my left and the Civic on my right. Escorting me down the road, a light up a head turns yellow. "Crap..." I think. Not that I'm scared, I Just don't want to be bothered. It's been a long day and this is the last thing I wanted to deal with... Boy Racers

I pull to a stop with them on either side of me. I'm just minding my own business, I made the mistake of looking to my left at the Integra. And the four dudes were staring at me. I return a 'wtf' :sly: look in return.

And the driver gives me a quick rev, I almost winched at the sound of his tingy exhaust. I sighed out a long heavy breath. "Mkay... I'll play your game." I think to myself. I return his rev, apparently my exhaust startled them and they started to talk amongst themselves.

I look back up at the lights, I see the other lights just now starting to change. OK... rev up to 3000rpm and hold, figured I'd be easy on my car. Just before the light changed, I gave it a quick rev to 3800rpm or so and slipped the clutch semi-quick and just took off. Integra duder tried doing the same but... he forgot that 3 passengers add alot of weight and... it was most likely a LS model so yeah. It's not that hard to beat. Anywho, I shut it down after I got to 3rd gear (short shifted into 3rd no reason to wind out second) and he was wayy to far back to be considered a 'close race'.

I ease back down into 4th and continue to cruise and then I hear the sound of a screaming motor coming quick. "huh? Integra wanna go again?" Check my mirror and he's still back there, I guess his boy in the Civic didn't like that I just toasted his buddy. Whatever.

As he's screaming up to me, Shift back down to 3rd and burry the pedal. If the tranny had a good 2nd gear syncro I would of gone to it, but since I can't do that with out risking blowing the tranny I'm forced to go to only 3rd which sometimes gives me a hissy fit. The car kinda bogs down for a moment. The Civic pulls up next to me on my right and starts to gain on me, just as the car gets back into its powerband.

His lead of oh... half a car length was halted and reeled in quickly. I speed shifted into 4th and was staring at him as I went by him giving him a :dunno: look as if saying "Dunno what happened to you guys?..." I put an easy 2 lengths on him before slowing down, I didn't want to get going tooo fast.

After that, they stayed back by about 4-5 car lengths behind me. We hit some traffic and I back in cruise mode got stuck behind them. Not caring, they decided to mess with the next victim.

Two chicks in a V6 manual Toyota Tacoma... lemme just say that they made what I did to them look slow. Homegirl could shift, it was actually pretty damn funny. I followed the Tacoma as she went past them. They were laughing, I pulled next to them after they'd slowed a bit and they looked over and I pointed to them (Boy Racers) and we all had a good laugh.

We turned our seperate ways a few blocks later with the Boy Racers humiliated. They must of turned down a street cause I didn't see them anywhere.

Fun times.... anywho... It's been awhile since I've raced. Although that was more of a turkey shoot. Lately I've been doing my racing through the canyons late at night. A bit Initial D-ish, but when you've got 350z or a 300zxTT on your ass, you gotta keep up the pace! :lol:

good times man! you just need to come out to Az for some racing now... we've got some good climbs + downhills... as well as a lot of clubracing

oh my goodness, boy racers. of course you are one of the best storytellers on here. sounds like a good night.

Very entertaining story. Nice to see some boy racers getting what they deserve. It would've been better if you told us what happened between you and the girls later though. :naughty:

The Tacoma chicks were actually pretty cute, they didn't seem too interested with me other than the fact we had a laugh at the expense of Blue 3 and Yellow 5 from the Rebel Alliance.
