Driveshaft AKA Propeller Shaft

It's been about 3 months since I have driven my '93 3kgt VR-4. It has been sitting in my driveway with a tarp over it due to the fact that one day, my freakin driveshaft falls to the floor. It seems that the front U-Joint's busted pretty bad and it just fell. Now...with my procrastination out of the way, I finally have some money saved up to get me a brand spankin' new carbon fiber driveshaft from ACPT. It will put me back about $1100 but i'm pretty sure it's well worth it, considering the fact that the local Mitsu. dealership is selling OEM shaft for $1200.

Question is...

- Has anyone ever had this driveshaft/propeller shaft problemo and...
- Has anyone ever tried the ACPT carbon-fiber composite driveshaft?
