i've read about a few people adjusting the maf sensor on their eclipses. what exactly does this do and is there any chance it will hurt the engine? i know on my last car i could do little tricks like block off the egr valve, take off certain emission components to add horsepower. how about a 3g spyder w/ a 6?

Messing with the MAF adjustment screw can lean or richen the A/F ratios. Putting the car on the dyno and adjusting the MAF for proper A/F ratio's is the only correct way to do that. Plus, you would get a printout of your numbers and see your gain.

Messing with the MAF adjustment screw is not for the faint of heart. I often wondered why Mitsu would allow that screw to be tampered with. They tamper proofed every other part of the car.
