I posted that thread about "Mitsubishi *ucked Up" and it seemed to me that some Assholes told me to "shut-up" when they thought that I was just dissing Mitsubishi, when what I said was actually true and I don't think they also realized the fact that my brothers Eclipse malfunctioned because of faulty factory parts and he was killed last year...So if you want to make fun of me because I tried to help some people out then fuck you, because maybe you didn't realize that I wouldn't want their familys to go through hell because their son or daughters car malfunctioned and killed them.

Starting a new thread about a closed thread is a big :nono:

Its hard for me to believe that, unless he was pushing the car then the part failed. Cars fail every day and people dont die over it. Please tell me what happened to make such a tragity happen.

I closed your thread because you are being angry at Mitsubishi for your brother's death, and you want everyone who drives a Mitsubishi to know about it. I'm sorry that life has tragedies in it, I wish it would end, too. Your previous thread was about how Mitsubishi was a bad company, and their products are faulty.

If you want to use THIS thread to tell us about your brother, instead of why MY car is a piece of shit, go ahead. You deserve any sympathy you get, too. I recommend you change the thread title so people know more.

I'm sorry about your brother, but Mitsubishi is getting in trouble for covering stuff up, and not calling out recalls. The only cars that are falling apart or have defect parts are big trunks and maby some suvs. I've been watching the news in Japan, and it doesnt seem like there are any cars that are defected!!! So everyone dont worry, in less you have a big Mitsubishi truck!!!

Hey guys sorry for exploding like that, I guess I just felt frustrated that I couldn't save lives by posting what I thought might help. It's just with what happened to my brother...something in his suspension went and it pitched the car when it droped, somehow so that a weak part of the actual lower frame fractured and the car just lost control.....

Most of my family being has jobs working in the forces, so naturally my brother, Kelcey, also enlisted. He was in the airforce, he was doing work out in Japan and while he was there he actually got them to fly a car back, a '97 Eclipse, on one of their transport jets. He was so proud that he had had such an opportunity to get an actual car that was made in Japan and have it flown hundreds of miles across the ocean. He took such good care of it too, changed just cosmetic things on the car, and didn't ever touch anything in the structual or powertrain since he wasn't one to speed ever and was probably the kindest driver on the road whereever he went! I would have felt safe not wearing a seatbelt in the car with him, but we both ALWAYS wore ours! He always kept that car so beautiful which reflected his personality....After the accident we discovered his car was susposed to have been recalled, but since they had no record of it in Japan, they just thought, "Forget it, the car is probably somewhere in NorthAmerica, don't worry about it." Well you know what? They really should have worried. They really should have done something and checked. When we contacted them through our lawyers the were at least honest about it, and were greatly sorry it happened. But personally, I don't care how much cash they paid out to my family to make everything all better, I'm never going to forget. And when I see in the news how, they had to be told again to tighten up production inspection and safty, even after this incident had happened, it actually makes me so sick to the stomach I puke....Did they forget what had just happened a few months earlier? How they met with a family they had destroyed because of a neglect to do things the right way?....Those people who are sitting on the company....wealthy beyond belief....oh this little incident won't make them lose any sleep, you trust me on this. They will go on with their lives, with all their money and power, forgetting the consequences of neglect.... So you see why that just leaves me....some punk kid on a website that rambles about how bad all Mitsubushi's are.... I can say they arn't all bad though, I can't forget the truth of it, but I can say please becareful, make sure you get your car checked out so nothing like this will happen.... and if even one person here hears me and finds a fault in their vehicle, I will feel a relief that most of you cannot even begin to imagine....

To my Brother and Friend, may your beauty, kindness and love live on in the actions of others...I miss you Bro...Rest in piece...

Im not being a ahole or nothing i just want to state a point that i see alot. You notice how every tragic teen death you hear about its always the straight A student who had 50 sclorships and is all perfect.

Not to be mean or anything but i thought Mitsubishi didnt make eclipses in japan? And you say your brother had one brought in?

Killa_DSM
07-21-2004, 03:22 AM
They dont make Eclipse in Japan, they import it from America. Instead they have the FTO, which i think is just crap, its so weak.

07-21-2004, 03:30 AM
But this is what he said. he was doing work out in Japan and while he was there he actually got them to fly a car back, a '97 Eclipse.

So his story is all cool except for the part where he says his brother brought home an eclipse form Japan and they drove together being safe cause hes a good driver and that.

WAIT A MIN they dont make eclipses in Japan have i caught a lie?

07-21-2004, 03:31 AM
Well sorry either that or the way you say it. Somebody imported an eclipse from the US to Japan and then his brother took it back to the US? thats kind of weird !?!?!

It does sound strange, but if its true im sorry for your bro man. But he could have brought somthing better back then a eclipse!

I feel for the loss, but the problems Mitsu has with QC are limited to the truck line. All other recalls, TSBs, etc are run of the mill car problems.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother and I appreciate you coming and telling us, but none of us, to my knowledge have any cars imported from Japan. Eclipses aren't made in Japan. Even if they were, my car came from Normal, Ill. Again, I'm sorry to hear about your brother, but what happened to him doesn't pertain to the majority of us.

I wasn't there when he got the car but apparently he got it for a good deal at one of those autoshow event things, I remember one of his friends who was in the forces with him brought back a nice looking Lancer too....But I don't remember saying my brother was a grade A student who was perfect. He didn't have the highest grades by anymeans which was why he decided to enlist. So I don't see how I made him out to be perfect, just because I said he was the kindest person I knew.

You guys are analyzing this way too much. His brother died, and you guys have such big egos about your cars and this message board that you have to look for lies in his story. Trust me it sucks to have someone close to you die, a little over a year ago one of my best friends died in a car accident, and when someone close to you dies, you have no answers, there are no solutions. And if he directs some sort of negativity toward mitsubishi, let him! If you guys were in his position you would be the same way. And if you drive a mitsubishi and he disses it, who cares? It's a car, its alot less important than a human life. Im sure everyone one of you has had someone atleast relatively close to you die, and we all know it sucks, especially when it is someone as close as a brother. If this is one way for him to let out his anger, thats fine with me, i dont see why you guys gotta give him shit for it.

Actually i knew a handfull of people that would pick their car over a human life. Like they would rather have most of their friends die then have their car destroyed.

I understand you, I was just pointing out that the downfall of Mitsubishi has little to do with the passenger vehicle line. :)

I diddent say your bro was a grade A student, i wasent talking about him, it just reminded me about all the kids killed in anti drug/beer use lectures and anti street racing lectures.

Yeah if some one destroyed my car well i wouldent kill them but i would beat them untill they are almost dead, let them make a full recovery over the next 6 months then beat them to a inch of their life again.

I hate to say this but this is not a problem with mitsubishi. this is how the whole automotive industry opperates. A large part of how they determine a part needs to be recalled is by the number of deaths, serios injuries and lawsuits due to a specific part failure. I can understand you being mad, but in this respect mitsubishi is no different from ford, dodge, saturn, or anybody else . It totaly bothers me that car companies would rather save, or make a coupl mil, than save lives, that's messed up, but it is the way it is.

sorry to hear about your brother man. it does suck...god forbid, god forbid, if something like that were to happen to me too due to failure of a part of a particular vehicle with known QC issies, I would be the first one to blast the entire line-up of the make/brand responsible... no one at all can make assumptions about how they would react about certain issues if something like this were to happen to them...this is something that needs to be experienced first hand for the true intensity of the situation to surface within yourself. drive safe everyone...

BTW i think there is this website called car-accidents.com... I saw a done up 3G with a huge pole inside it thru the front windshield...the driver was impaled on it, his fiance posted the pics to help spread the "calm-down-and-dont-drive-like-you-stole-it" awareness.... damn.

i juss feel bad cuz someone close to me juss died because her airbag didnt pop out her bettle. her family wants to sue VW.

I agree with you, yoshimitsuspeed, it is all major companies that does this. It's like "oh it won't affect me, if someone is killed driving the vechicles my company has made!" You know its not even a dent in their wallet when something like this happens, so you can see why it happens time and time again. It's good to know you see so things as clearly as I do!

And I'm sorry for your loss george536, but the best thing to do is to move on, though never forget how that person lived!

AHHHH i hated it because her car was brand new! she got it with no miles except the test drive ones but other than that it was new. there gettin a lawyer and callin VW. hopefully justice will be served. but im sorry for your bro and juss wish these companies will take more responsibility for their actions.
