I have a 1998 Lumina LTZ. I don't have an owner's manual and the sticker on the inside of the driver's door is unreadable.

Can anyone tell me the recommended tire pressure for my vehicle? The max pressure on the tire is 51 lbs.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Do not put in the max according to ehat it states on the side of tire... that is just letting you know that max that could go into it. Thats way too much.

The average is usuallyt between 29 and 32 from what I've seen. Anybody else wish to comment?

nope, you hit it right on the head, I usually run my fronts around 30psi, and my rears a little less. Never fill a tire to whats stated on it to be the max!!!!!

If you are putting the max pressure listed on the side-wall, you will most likely wear out the center of the tire before anything else, also have a possible blow-out someday because when you drive it (esp hwy), the pressure increases OR have problems with traction (most likely nociteable in wet conditions). Incorrect tire pressure (the one on the door jam or in the glove box) must be used or you will void your warranty if the tire shows signs of over pressure.
