fog light issue

I need some help. My fog lights, for no understandable reason, have stopped working, and this just happened over-night. I first checked that the fuse was still good, which it is. I have found that if you run a hot wire directly to the lights, they come on. This lead me to think it was the switch. When checking power there, I got none. I followed wires leading from the switch back to the fuse box, and much to my amazement, there is not power for the fog lights fuse. When I bypass the fuse box and run a hot wire to the switch, it acts normal, turning the fog lights on and off as it should. No work was done on the vehicle to make me think that someone would have unplugged or broken something. My current thinking is that it is a relay, but I have no idea where a relay for the fog lights would be, or even how to test one. The question still remains of course on why the fuse box is not getting any power for the foglights. There is power in all the other fuse slots except the foglights. Does anyone have any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated!
