Ok, first my check engine light came on and I had code P0442 . I disconnected the battery and it went away for a few days then a new code P0544. This one doesn't seem to go away. I have replaced my gas cap. So the inexpensive thought is now a figment of my imagination. If I take this to dealer what can I expect....lots of $$$ going from my pocket to theirs? Is there something else I should be looking for/checking? Also, I believe the next issue is unrelated, but my brake fluid needs refilling every 3 weeks or so .... any ideas? Are these items related?
BTW - I have a 2001 Durango with 78,000 miles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is your durango hard to start after sitting overnight or for a long period of time? Mine is, and someone told me that it was the fuel system bleeding down over night but I'm not sure what components to check. If this is similar to your problem, let me know if you get your problem resolved so I can fix mine.

thanks
