A. They are going the speed limit
B. Their rear veiw mirror is blocked
C. There is a passenger in the car
D. If they are from a different state
Second question wrong: If youre parked on the roadway, how far shoud you be visible from?
A. 250ft

C. 750ft
D. 1000ft
Third question wrong: What is the only eight sided sign you will see on the highway?

Those were the three I got wrong, please, let me know what you would have said and Ill tell you why I got them wrong and what I said.

Its B, B, B...I thought number 1 was C because I thought it was a trick question because youre not supposed to have anything blocking your mirror.
I just guessed on number 2. I said 250 but the right answer was 500.
On number three, I said guide sign because I didnt think there were stop signs on highways. My mom later told me that most roads are highways and that I was thinking of interstates.

Well, when I heard highway, I was thinking I-95, there are no stop signs on I-95, so I was thinkin it was that way for all highways.

the first one and the third are obvious, but the second one was a booger. I would have answered D because more is better I think. Good luck for next time. use more common sense.

shit, come to kansas. when I moved here from vegas, when I went to transfer my license over, they handed me a written test..... AND the test booklet with the answers and told me to go take the test.....which would explain why we have such crappy drivers here.

I did study, and I did use common sense. Its just, I thought about the questions too much. If I would have just went with my first instinct I'd have my permit right now.
And its real easy for you to sit there and say that now with youre liscenses in hand, and not when youre nervous and taking the test.

I always thought it would be easy too... yea, well i failed twice before i got mine the third time. It sucked because the first time i thought i knew it all and then i just took it and got a lot wrong. The second time i kinda glanced through the book... and FAILED...AGAIN. Then the third time i actually sat down and read it, and all the important stuff was in small print, which wasn't very helpful. So then i passed. So hang in there and good luck!

The test here in California probably isn't that easy. I passed it the first time, but I know a lot of people who didn't pass the first time, and in some cases, the second time either. You actually have to study a little for the permit test here in California.

Drivers? I didn't see any drivers. Drove across the whole damn state and all I saw was corn. Come to think of it, I saw a guy driving a tractor through his corn...

Yeah, I just used common sense and I got 2/3 of the ones you missed. And had I looked at the manual or booklet and studied, I would have retained the answer for the second one. Honestly, those are really easy.

See, I have common sense, and Im an intelligent person(not to brag). Its just I got kinda nervous and I knew the answers at first but then I kept thinking about it and tricked myself. I told you my reasoning earlier. I did read the book, and I still cant find the answer to number 2, even though I know it was 500. I did study alot, I even took the practice tests they have online and it helped for one question, it was the exact same question I had on my test that was on the practice test. I just have to relax the next time.

Hmm.. Most drivers tests are set up so that you should pick the MOST CORRECT answer.
I remember my test and on some questions all the answers were correct, but they wanted the most correct answer.
I would've picked D for the first question, as out-of-state drivers may not be familiar with the roads and may be lost or looking for something-therefore they may suddenly stop quickly or make a last-minute maneuver that would cause you to hit them if you were following too closely.
I'da picked B for the second one because 500' is a pretty reasonably fair distance-most "Stop Ahead" warnings are 500' before the stop signs-they're stationary objects on the roadside and the state considers 500' to be adequate warning time.
Around my neck a the woods, sometimes 500' is all ya got for warning as there are many winding roads with blind curves around here.
That and most states consider 500' to be adequate headlight siht distance at night on low beam.
And B for the last one. The stop sign is the only officially 8-sided sign you'll ever see on an (American) road. It's a unique sign unlike any other because of the extremely important message it conveys.
The tough one they almost got me with was:
"What are the only three colors ever used to mark traveled portions of roadway surfaces in the United States?"
A.)Blue/White/yellow
B.)Red/Yellow/White
C.)White/Yellow/Black
D.)Orange/Red/Yellow
(The correct answer is C...White (passing zones/shoulder designators/lane directional arrows, etc.)-Yellow (No-passing zones/warning areas such as right before concrete divider ends/school bus loading zones, etc.) and Black (where previous lane markings have been changed and painted over because the lanes have been re-arranged.)

From Cali here... permit test was ez, read the book once, took permit test missed 2. Text book stuf, it's ez.
Driver's test.... AAAUUGGGGHHH!!!! Failed 2x and my third try is on August 3rd. I keep getting screwed over for little things.
#1 - Making a right turn as another truck doing like 50 in a 35 zone nearly hit me and started tailgating, thus it was a dangerous manuver.
#2 - Not looking over my shoulder to check for bikers on some deserted street. Just little things the freaking DMV has against me. :disappoin
