Wow is the first thing I said when I opened this kit. It's huge. Anyways, My plans for this one are...big rims, thin tires, stereo system, screens, possible airbrushed paint job. Well, I've got the first 2 things off the list. I took these from a Jada truck. Had to cut alot away on the chassis to fit these. Yes they do roll with the interior in too. Heres the pic. Hope everything come out right.

Hah i agree the truck is big went you first take it off the box ! rims look good on there but unless u lower it a lot i think it looks wierd. i mean.. the height it is now, it looks odd with those big ass rims

theres no body parts on it right now...
thers still the front and rear bumper and side step.. so thers still a little bit of room to cover up the ride height. This one is with 26" rims which is close to mine.

Oh..and it cant be lowered with these rims. The tires already almost touch the wheel wells, I even cut away most of the wheel well to fit these huge tires in it.

He is right. I think the rims look rather odd on the car when it is not lowered.

Orion- The S2K is still on hold.. I just can't get the putty to stick to the body. The RX-7 I've had for a long time is still missing decals. Anyone who can print color decals and have them show on any color..give me a PM.

Looks sweet dude, I don't think the ride is bad at all. Many of the trucks with big wheels retain a taller ride so they don't have to mod the wheelwells (even on the real stuff). If you get a chance, get some pictures outside so we can see the wheel detail. Nice.

The ride height looks about right to me. Most trucks rollin' dubs (and bigger) don't do anything to their suspension.

If everyone says slam it..how? Its not that easy with this kit. The Axles all attach right onto the chassis, which really sucks.

gotta agree on this. i wanted to drop mine too but when i saw this stupid axle system i thought "shit this is gonna be harder than i thought"
i still havent figure a way to do it and keep the metal axle bar

Well, this may not be the case in Cali, but in texas anyway it is pretty common to see an Escalade, Navi, Excursion, or Denali with wheels that big and the stock ride height. Reason being that they are usually towing a new wakeboard/skiing/powerboat and it wouldn't be very practical to drop it. A good friend has 24s on his Tahoe (stock height) and pulls a new mastercraft wakeboarding boat with it. Hrm, now if we can only find a 1/24-1/25 model of a newer power boat...

:grinno: Lookin good man, Im likin the stereo instsall, I think you should french the screen in the box though
mstngcobrasvt98
07-23-2004, 06:59 PM
just a quick ?... whats this frenching your talking about? If you mean sink it in the box...im, planning on building 2 side triangle peices that will attach to the side of the screen and to the amp part and complete the smoothness overall. Only problem is filling the huge amp area...possibly an amp and a cap or other accessories to fill it. Has anyone even finished an Escalade yet on the forum?

first before the pics. Color is Black Night Metallic. Exterior is gonna be mostly black and silver. Then on inside, I'm planning a Flat white/Flat black color scheme with some silver.. What does everyone think?
