Idle stepper motor

I've read a few threads on people adjusting and/or setting their idle stepper motors on their 4.0s. Is there anywhere I can find this info? Or perhaps if it's simple enough to post here..

just remove it, clean it (and the port it goes into) and reinstall.
wd-40 and a toothbrush work well for cleaning, there is no setting or adjusting, it just bolts on.
