If you are referring to the XVL. That is a different series in the Skyline series. The GT-R is different than that.

Not really :)
GT-R has the same engine line-
RB26DETT opposed to other Skylines who have RB25DET or RB25DE, etc.
Also, it has the same name, others are like Skyline GT-S, Skyline GT-V, and it's Skyline GT-R.
So if the XVL Concept is going to be the next Skyline, so will the GT-R, just a little different, but it will still be based on the XVL.

they should just use that concept why do they have to use a platform already in use, the skyline's body was always original, why change now. I checked some history about it and aparently they have always used an inline six engine, please dont let them hurt the car

You guys...I really don't think Nissan will do anything to alter a car which they must know will sell incredibly well once it hits the states. If anything, it will only be better than the current GT-R...unless they put in a V8, but even that won't be SO bad.

If you recall in that pic of that skyline, it looked terrible. When I was looking for the R391 last night for Igor, I read in a random sight that Infiniti was coming out with that design. I was like wtf?? I just hope they do not change it over to make it look ugly.
