For some reason when I press the brake pedal down it is very stiff and the brakes are not responsive. The ABS light is on as well as the brake light. I have replaced the calipers, rotors, pads, and the E-Brake lines, but still the same problem. If anyone else had this problem and knows what was done to fix it, please let me know I owe you my life!

Check the vacuum line that goes to he brake booster. Also, carefully pull out the check valve & make sure air will only pass one direction.

Hi , pay also attention to possible loose speed sensors near brakes pads.

I had the same problem with my 91 Passat. They replaced what they called the "bomb," I don't know if that means anything to you. Sorry, I wish I could tell you more but I don't know anything about cars. Good luck, I know how frusterating it is.

Actually that "bomb" thing is a bunch of crap. My car was not running for awhile and tonight I got it running and the brake and abs waring lights are on again. If you find out how to fix it please email me at [email protected]. Thanks and good luck
