i'm looking to get a projector for my computer/movie use. I want to put the projector in the living room so i can use my computer from there (i have a wireless mouse/keyobard that will work from that distance (the gyration kit..pretty sweet, check it out). It will be in an apartment so i guess i don't need a very good one. Any recommendations? where to buy? what to look for? Have one for sale?
thanks

Try this for shoping http://www.hometheatermag.com/ Ebay for buying. Be aware the bulb in most of the projectors lasts about 2k hours and can cost from $300 to $500 to replace.

Using a projector for a computer is a big no-no.
Why? One word: burn-in

Crt based projectors are the only ones the suffer from burn in, and are big and heavy, and are on the way out. LCD, DLP, and Plasma are in the forefront these day's. I suggest a used LCD with a new bulb. Be prepared to darken your room as the contrast ratio is not very good. I'm not sure what LCD projectors are going for these days, but if you want the next level go with the DLP that's what I did. Great great pic. bright, (no need to darken room), big adjustable picture 4 feet to 16 feet, small light portable case 13"x9"x5" 9 pounds. High deff resolution 720p and 1080i, can be sat on a table top or hung from the ceiling with a special mount. I might consider letting it go if the price is right. PM me if your interested thanks john
