I have a 95 RS that is midly tuned and i want to add some extra kick with a b16a head. I've been doing some research but all i see are vtec tranny's being add to the LS/VTEC conversions. I know the VTEC tranny's have shorter ratios but is my pesky lil RS tranny still good enough for the conversion. I don't wanna throw away or sell my exedy clutch and 7lbs Fidanza flywheel.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your tranny should be ok to use. but sometime in the future u might want to look into a different one.

the syncros in the ls tranny are known to be weaker than the gsr and type r tranny. and the gsr and type r tranny is not as good as the ls tranny if you want to turbo. you'll go through your gears quicker in the gsr and type r tranny's than in the ls tranny where you don't have to shift as quickly.

well u can put ur flywheel and clutch on the VTEC tranny's. all LS and VTEC tranny's can use the same flywheel and clutch

BTW how much harder is it to drive the car with that 7lb flywheel? or whats the difference u feel between stock and the fidanza wheel?
im probably just gonna get a 12 lb flywheel. i heard bad things bout flywheels that are lower than 8 or 10 lbs
