94 rolls in park.

hi guys... the car is a 94 cav... when you put the car in park it will roll approx 3 feet, also it clunks when you put it in either drive or reverse. ( motor mounts are fine) the car seems to shift fine when driving. fluid in trans and filter are new. any one help?

Your parking cog is bad. Tranny shop in your future.

is that really expensive to fix?

shouldn't be as tranny repairs go. but it won't be cheap due to labor.
