96 caravan code 43?????

My 96 caravan is running rough and was backfiring thru the intake. I changed the plugs and wires, tested the MAP sensor, changed the air cleaner and cleaned the EGR valve. It stopped the backfiring but is still setting the code 43 and lacks power, not to mention the shuddering when I'm stopped at a light, like a rough idle. I have read thru every thread here and plan on checking the IAC valve tomorrow. Any other suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same issue. Code 43 is a misfire. You should have it scanned because there are about a half dozen subcodes to narrow the list like what cyl is missing. Mine is #3. I've been through the plugs, wires, coil, injector. Next is compression test.

I had it scanned with the OBD II scanner and it also showed a misfire in the #3 cylinder primarily. I just got finished removing the IAC valve and cleaning it, no luck, same thing still. I am in Germany and can't even get this thing to a dealer, so my best hope is someone here knows what it could be. Good luck with yours man and I'll let you know if I figure it out.
