I have a 97 suburban k1500 with a 5.7 and want toknow if a gen 3 5.3 will swap ?

not without mods, the computer and injection system will be running for 5.7.

It's a lot of trouble to do the swap, Besides the 5.7 is an excellent engine. You are better off to spend all that money and time on fixing/improving the 5.7

I agree. the 5.7 is a great engine, and the money to switch it could be more effectively put into rebuilding/building up the 350.
