I have a custom sealed box with two 12s and it has a 1000watt am hooked up to it, yet all the speakers on the car are hooked up to the amp. So what I was wanting to do was to make two holes about 3 inches in diameter and put a ring around it to finish it off, now what I was wondering was if this would be two much for my subs to handle.
I was also wondering if anyone knew of any sites that would have box accessories that I can use to finish up the look.

Just putting a hole in your box is NOT porting it... a PORT must be added, hence the name of PORTed box. A port is like a "tube" ~ Crutchfield sells a "PNR Port" tube in 3" and 4" sizes and they help reduce port noise created by a typical port, they sell for like $19.95 each I believe...

Why ported!?  Doesn't anybody aim for sound quality anymore!? :hehe:
Firstly, you need to pull out the spec sheets on your subs to determine the proper diameter and length of the ports. And, if the enclosure is enough. Btw, most subs are made for a variety of box configurations. You may misadvertently tune the box to an wanted frequency. Once you know what's necessary, you can move on from there.
See the I/A/S FAQ for some sites for accessories (I'm pretty sure they sell accessories, too) as well www.selectproducts.com

Thats the thing when i got my sestem i constructed it all for sound quality, my system sounds awesome right now, i just want a change, I want it to hit harder, I bought a capacitor to improve the system but havent installed it yet, I may just hook up that and stop there i dunno i depends on how it sounds.
Question on how so install the capacitor: how would I go about wiring it up?
