I bought my CRX 5 days ago, it has 210,000 miles. Is their anything that I can do to make the car not smoke as much? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks,
Amber

Get a rebuilt engine it will save you fuel and not smoke, plus last much longer. I have a 1985 CRX SI and that is what I did.

using a heavier oil may help it smoke less. but it wont stop it from smoking.

Early CRXs get smokey between 150K and 200K miles, depending on upkeep. I recommend replacing the cylinder head, most of the oil leakage is coming from there. It's worth it, those things go well over 300,000. I replaced mine at 222,000 miles and the car is still going at 322,000 with only a little smoke (I keep setting retirement dates, and it keeps exceeding them). I did the removal and replacement myself, got the rebuild done for $500.
