VW lip fits the Hatch!!!

I was reading on Honda-tech and dude showed a pic of a VW lip on a hatch and it looks great. I just wanted to share this info with you all. They guy that owns the car is a member of JDMcivic.com. He got hit by 3 cars. :disappoin The lip can be oredered for $58.90 Shipped (w/o fogs) As soon as I get some money I will be doing this mod, but I am going back to the Bahamas in December, so I have to save and pay for that.

fuel for the fire, my brother went from a 91 EX to a 99 Dodge Dakota to a 97 Jetta GLX, so it does happen :)

My wife drives a 99' Passat 1.8 Turbo and it has loads of miles and still focken pulls. We call it "the big Turtle" cuz it's dark green (and kinda looks more like one than mine) and because I'm so curious I noticed it's running off an Audi computer. The timing belt service done back way back when was a little pricey but that's cuz the VW techs were still unfamiliar with it. She told me she wants "a sleeper Turtle so she can blow by the ricer boys" around here. If I had the 5 grand for the stage 3 Turbo upgrade and a spare ECU (so the original can be sent to be chipped) I'd buy it and turn that 180 horse Turtle into a spooling monster. Anyway, you can like more than one car manufacturer... it's ok... especially since not all the cars from one particular manufacturer are appealing...

Or you can do some light mods and hit 13s. Chipped ecu, intercooler, upgraded down pipe and exhaust, BOV and boost controller. All that should be just a lil over 2 grand. The most expensive part is the intercooler and the ecu. :)

I really disagree with this. The only Vdub that you can make quick for cheap, without a swap, is a 1.8t. The VR's come quick from factory but aftermarket parts for them cost a shit load.

my brother blew up a corrado when he turbo'd it, he blew up 2 golfs, 2 jettas, 1 scirocco and rolled a cabrio... hes only 21, and he's been driving since he was 17 so thats like 4 years, and hes blown up lots of cars, not to mention the Countless times they have broken on him, lets just say that umm.... he knows the CAA tow truck drivers all very well, and the fact that when i had to get my car towed home when my diff exploded that the tow truck driver was like, "oh, so daves ur brother eh? we come here alot for him" lol

What the hell has been doin to them? Did he buy the corrado N/a? Most come with supercharger. I know for sure that 98 and up vw dont break down. You guys make it sound like its a ford or something.

he just drives the shit outta them sometimes, and drives them nice the rest, as for the corrado, it was his friends, then he got it to put the turbo on, everything was running fine then the motor blew (assuming it was n/a to begin with since no supercharger was on there) so they take it to a shop, windows were shot out, bullet holes in the doors, seats stolen, then eventually whole car stolen pretty funny IMO

We have a '91 Ford Explorer with 140,000 miles and nothing has gone wrong with it, except a chipped windshield from a rock...and a '98 Taurus SHO with 48,000 miles and not a single thing is wrong with that. We must have got the 2 Ford's that don't break down.

hehe. i remember when my moms old taurus finally died. it was at 170000 miles, the tranny went out. the good thing is we had sold it about 6 months prior and we sold it with like 160k-163k on it

I don't mind my parents Taurus SHO...it's better than a regular Taurus. I wish it was more powerful (240 or so isnt enough for that heavy thing), RWD, and had a manual tranny.

Ford Taurus SHO is actually a jap powered motor (yamaha) good cars.

What year are you talkin about? I'm pretty sure they're all v6 FWD and some do come in manual trans. I know this cause a friend of mine had one.

The 3rd Gen. SHO (96-99, the "egg" looking ones) all had a 3.4 liter 32 valve 4cam v8, ONLY available with an automatic transmission. I would know, we have one in our garage, and if u don't believe me I can take a few pix and have them up...and check out this site dedicated to the 3rd gen SHO.

Oh ok yeh my boy had the 95 sho manual. Hes done some shit to it. I remember he put a filter on it and it sounded like the v-tec kicked in at 4500! Sounded really nice.

Yeah I really wanna get an intake on my parents car. Like I said, below 3500 rpm's the car isn't anythig special, but above 3500 it pulls pretty good. I love the sound of an intake though and have contemplated getting one for it.

Corrados came in two different models. One was the SLC, which was a VR6. And the other was G60, which was a SOHC 8v with a G ladder charger. G60's are known to break down a lot. The G60 engine is basically a regular 8valve motor with oil squirters. A kidna common mod for the g60 is to convert it to turbo, which a friend of mine is doing.

And some side facts:
The vr6 first came out in the corrado.
Corrados are a mk2, but came with mk3 interior.
Corrados have working wings that raise at 45ish MPH....very cool.

My friend on his MK3 Jetta put a Corrado spoiler on his car, speed activated and it looks sick. Didn't I show u the pic of his black Jetta, Hybrid?
