I'd take the Celica All-Trac Turbo, because I'm a big fan of Toyotas, and the Celica is a lot more reliable than the AWD Turbo DSM.

I love the Celica All-Trac Turbo, they are very rare and when I see one I'm like oh sh*t that's a Celica All-Trac Turbo. So I would get that just because it's so rare compared to AWD DSMs. Plus it's not a bad car to tune either, not sure if it easier to tune than AWD DSMs though, but it does have good potential.

yeah it beign abit more rare would give it more lust appeal but what about its performance(acceleration, braking, skidpad, slalom ect) stock and potenial?

The DSM has more performance potential, but the Celica is more reliable. Take your pick.

I gotta choose the Celica also...I think even though it wont have the performance of the DSM...it's a more refined choice, more reliable engine, probably handles just as good as the AWD ones...Toyota's are cool.

I just wish they had continued the All-Trac Turbo into the 94-99 generation, like they did in Japan. Those headlights kick ass :)

the celica all trac has same hp as the mr2 turbo, 200 hp at 6000 rpm, and 200 lb ft at 3200 rpm. 0-60 is around 7.0 sec, and 1/4 is about 15.3. its curb weight is about 3200 lbs. its weight distribution is something like 55% front 45% rear.

i would pick the celica.. it's rare.. unlike the dsm's.. also the celica's for that year (in the US) had hp comparable to my accord.. which imo is kinda shabby for a sporty coupe

I was browsing threw alltrac.net forums and saw somethingabout there curb weight. it seems its about 3300lb's and has a weight distro closer to 61/39. 200hp 2.0L turbo charged.
(this is for the 90-93 model)
Anyone feel like stepping up and givin some DSM faq's for both gen's? How dow do they compare as far as handling?

ur accord almost produced 200hp 200tq in 1988 - 1994? did any hondas make that much power back then other than the nsx?
well sinse no one has mentioned, it uses the 3sgte engine

i browsed through that site, and that weight dist. number was a number someone came up with, not from actual facts, or tests. the site says the st185 has 50/50, but its gotta be a mistake, and weight can vary.
take a look http://www.alltrac.net/specs/st185USAspecs.html

btw to make it easier on everyone, I got the numbers from this thread (http://www.alltrac.net/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=suspension;action=display;num=108742 1918)
Those are some very specific numbers for them(more like them) to just come up with... :dunno:
