2003 Maxima Insurance

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums..

I have decided to buy a 2003 Nissan Maxima, and I have read some stuff about the maxima and have even driven it. It is a really fast and powerful car and i really like the design as well. But I was wondering how the insurance is for this car, since it is relatively fast and powerful. I am 20 years old and living in LA right now and if I do get the car , my name will be under my dad's name for the Insurance. I have Farmer's insurance, I've had no accidents, gotten one speeding ticket about 2.5 years ago, but went to traffic school for that and gotten that off my record.

What is everyone's opinion on this, your input and responses will be much appreciated.

I'm 21 and I've had the car since I was 19. I pay $2160 a year with full coverage and a $250 deductible, with no tix or accidents.

Turk66460, something there doesn't add up. Either you aren't the primary driver on the Maxima, or you don't have full coverage, or you have a high deductible.

I am insured under my dad. I was driving since i was 16 now i am 20. Another thing location where you live has a big part in it. I live in PA. My driving record is clean. Been with Gieco for about 8 years including my dad. We have full coverage on all cars with $250 detuctible. Thats just me i am not the primary driver but saves my ass with money.

You should be on as the primary driver if it is your car. Just another of the millions trying to cheat the system *sigh*

I am not trying to cheat anything. The car is under my dads name for reasons like cops intend to stay off your ass. Because the fact that i am 20 and my dad is 40. Thats one reason and another is that is money issues. I havent gotten an accidents with any of my dads cars or mine so i have no problems with the insurance companys.
