CSC Damage. . .

When I get CSC on my skin, I wash it off immediately. On the bottle it says to get medical attention. What I'm saying is, should I start calling the hospital, or am I just paranoid?

Paranoid :lol:

It's not that harmfull for skin (unless you put it in your eyes)

Read carefully, I'm sure they don't say to go to the hospital if you have a bit of CSC on your hand

id suggest wearing some gloves, when working with any chemical

Of course I wear gloves. It gets on my hands when I take off my gloves.

nah don't worry, just clean correctly with soapy water and you should wake up tomorow morning :D

Seriously, if you don't have any visible red spot on your skin, it's ok. just wash your hands

yeah. i wouldn't worry too much until there are visible signs of irritation or maybe a prolonged burning sensation

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

honnestly though. Don't worry, csc or any type of degreaser can burn your skin if you saturate it and don't wash it off. When i worked in a detail shop we had a 50 galon drum full of degreaser that was ultra concentrated and it fed into a machine that would mix it w/ water and had a hose so we could fill buckets with it. a guy dropped a brush in to a half empty drum and went to grab it and he burned his skin from his hand almost to his elbow. It looked white and wrinkly like he was in the tub too long.

you'll be ok as long as you don't go bathing in it.

Technically CSC won't burn your skin, but it WILL do it's intended job...which is to remove oil/grease. Be it on your engine or your epidermis!

Try to limit the amount of actual contact with CSC and watch it around metals also.

I dont use gloves or anything for that matter! My hands are in the big open container full of it(3 jugs). I scrub my parts in it while they soak, hasnt hurt me yet. Just maybe a little dry skin. After all, its only degreaser...........not acid!

I used to wash motorhomes with this stuf to get bugs off, and here's what happens when you get it on your skin, short and sweet: Your skin wil dry up and peel off wherever the CSC touched unless you wash it off. It won't kill you, it doesn't even hurt. It just kills the skin.

technically, the epidermis, the outer most layer of skin, is already dead. to csc isn't killing it, just causing irritation/peeling etc etc...all that good stuff.
