2000 Monte SS LEAKS DURING RAIN

I have a 2000 SS, I bought it brand new, its never been in an accident. Everytime it rains heavy I find a puddle of water on the passenger side floor. Two times during really bad rain storms I found the roof was soaked as well.The water drips from somewhere under the glove box. I had it checked four times at the dealer and they can't figure it out. They could not find any leaks. Anyone with advice or similar problems please contact me. [email protected]

i had a 2000 SS pace car (#1087) that did the exact same thing!!! I took it to the dealer 2x for it and they said there was no prob. Are you parking on a slight hill? Mine was always parked in the yard on a slight hill when it did it. I climbed under the dash once and saw that it is coming from the evap box. I think that the drain on the Evap box must be in a bad spot and if the car is on a slope the water does not drain like it is supposed to and leaks out the bottom (you can actually remove the lower dash and see where it is coming from). Dealership had no explanation for it.

I also had that problem with my 2000 Monte Carlo SS. It had a puddle of water on the passenger floorboard after it rained. For several weeks I was looking for a leak. I finally found the problem. It was condensation from the AC. The drain tube was partially plugged up with dirt and dust and the condensation could not run out fast enough. When driving in the rain and using the AC you will get a lot more condensation that would leak out and soak the carpet. Two years ago I used a bent wire to clean out the drain hole behind the engine and never had the problem again.
