I need help figuring out which motor I have in my 90 Accord and if it's worth rebuilding or do a swap. The car was purchased from a family that moved from Canada in '94 and I have recently decided to completely fix it up. Everything on paper says its an LX but the car says EX. Here is the VIN#:
JHMCB7659LC801501
Confused?!
Thanks

If it has a factory sunroof it's an ex... if it doesn't it's a lx.
thay may have put ex emblems on it so people would think it's an ex.

look at the engine code next to the exhaust manifold. If it says f22a4 then it is an EX. Ur car is made in japan i believe b/c i think all japanese cars that begin with "j" in the VIN # is from japan.

The EX model designation in Canada is the LX in the United States. The EX in the United States is the EX-R in Canada. I live close to Canada and sold Honda's about 8 years ago. We'd see them often.
