i just put in a new 350 and now im having all kinds of prolems.first i found out i hade water in the gas tank so i dropped and drained it.now i cant seem to get gas to the carb.ican suck it through the line but it dont pump.it pumped fine before i removed the tank.the second problem is now the batery cables get really hot when i crank it over.something is not hooked up right,any ideas?all help and suggestions are appreciated.

Well....mmmmm
you probably have a faulty fuel pump now, or the connection to the pump isn't connected. Possibly
battery overheating....check your grounds and see if there are any bare wires grounding out or close to grounding out to your chassis going to your starter.

where in the line do you suck it through??? do you disconnect the line at the fuel pump and suck it through?
as for the hot battery cable, sounds like you have a short to ground on the positive cable, as for where, youll have to go lookin at the harness.

sounds like you need to prime the lines to the fuel pump, the fuel pump doesn't like to suck air. as for the battery cables, a loose connection can cause them to get really hot. a partial connection is like using a light gauge wire
