Ok I have a question on this b18c1 I want to turbo it and put it into my 95 civic 4dr pos,and I want to change transmission from automatic to manual do you suggest that i go ahead and change transmissions first before swapping so it will be easier or wait till i get the swap.My other question does this place look like a good place to buy a complete engine swap

If you do the auto to manual swap now, it will take less time to get the motor in your car once you're ready for it; but you'll have to have your car down twice. And there are cheaper places to go than that site: http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search.cgi?what=page&item=30009

Either one is going to need good tuning if you're planning on boosting quite a bit, well any boost but especially with that high of compression. Just get a good engine managment and someone who is a reputable tuner and you'll be set with either motor. Personally I'd get the jdm motor, even with the slightly higher compression, because I couldn't see paying that much $ for the motor and making the same amount of hp as the jdm b16a with the usdm gsr (even thought the gsr would have a higher displacement). But that's just me.

[damn thing i had to re-post this]

well before i would get a turbo i would get my manual transmission in, then my JDM engine, and i would go JDM only because it is what I would chose, as it's hard to come by JDM engines in my area. then once i had all that in i would make sure i have a nice set of headers, and a strong exhast system, and then clean up any other engine bay modifications. then when i go to put my turbo in i would get the best performance out of it, but that is just IMO.

Why would you spend money on a good header, if you're just gonna replace it with the turbo manifold. Waste of money. Only get a header if you're not going turbo, otherwise, stick with the stock one.

well I already have the whole turbo kit all i would have to buy is a b18c1 turbo manifold and everything will still work except for maybe the wastegate
