front diff and new to af

hello all i am new here i own a 86 jeep cherokee laredo..... well i have been haveing problems with it... for one the vacuum accuator pump has been removed and my front diff is permantly locked... will this hurt anything and is the accuator a manufacture part?? :banghead:
