I just picked up a 1995 Supra - Hard Top - Mark IV - 3.0L - 2JZ . Can someone give me some advice on modifications. 1. I want to install a Turbo; what is a good kit and how do I do it without blowing up the motor? 2. Would dropping in a new motor altogether be better and what might I expect to pay? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

K.S.

One of the best kits you can buy for the n/a mark4 is the Dave Henry kit or the BoostLogic turbo kit. If your looking for parts for your non turbo supra, theres only one place to look for EXCELLENT customer service and great parts and pricing, and thats www.nonturbo.com Check www.supaforums.com out, the owner of nonturbo posts every day and there are thousands of members. To my knowledge exchanging a 2jz-ge for a twin turbo 2jz-gte its upwards of 12K+. A nonturbo Dave Henry kit will only run you around 4K Good luck with your search.

You used to be able to get a 2JZGTTE w/ a six speed manual off of www.streetimports.com w/ 10000-35000 miles on it for $5999, but the stupid fuckers just updated the website and i can't seem to find the goddamn engines anywhere on it. They had a shit load of engines for honda, toyota, mitsubishi, nissan, and mazda.

Also you could go to www.turbokits.com and they have a kit just for you for $4499 w/ a free ball-bearing upgrade, (you save $650!). It gives you 8 psi of boost, it adds about 120 hp w/ a turbo efficiency of 500 hp. The kit comes with everything you will need.

I hope I could help.
