difference between pioneer and premier hu

i was just wonder what the difference between the pioneer and the pioneer premier head units were .. is one better than the other?

well it's actually a marketing ploy of sorts. When pioneer started selling to big box stores such as tweeter, circuit and Best buy. Smaller specialty audio shops dropped them my store included. Why should we try to compete with them. So pioneer decided to make the premier line so as to make it special really the only difference i've seen is the two year warranty on the premier also being silver...

the premire stuff is usually of slightly higher quality

don't forget sometimes the premier models have more features. Not in all cases, but there have been years when the pioneer model was 2V preout, and premier 4V.

I talked to a guy at a car stereo shop about that and the only difference listed was the longer warranty.
