Newbie Oil Filter Question

Hello. I'm a 15 year guy and I'm currently trying to change the Oil in my (Dads) 1999 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4, but I can't find the oil filter! I feel real stupid, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. I got a Haynes repair manual from the library and it shows where the Oil filter is on a 2x4, but not 4x4. Any help would be appreciated.

When I had my '97 Expedition, the filter was located on the front edge of the LH front wheel well just behind the front bumper.
