Dash Fan Speed Switch R&R ???

I'm getting tired of jigiling the AC/Heater fan speed switch on my 93 Centry. Sometimes I can get the blower motor working by "working" the switch up and down. Or sometimes when I hit a bump in the road it will come back on. For $20 at a local car parts store, I thought I'd try the switch replacement first. I'm pretty mecanicaly inclined, but wonder just the same how to do it and what else can give the same symptoms? The car is a dream other than that. Bruce

How do I replace the plug wires in the front section of the motor? They go behind some cover and I was quoted alot of $$ to have it done at a shop, some other part has to be removed first?
