I tried searching thorugh the forum baack as far as I could but I couldnt find straight answers. I feel noobish and I have my flame retardant suit on =) Do you HAVE to get a reprogrammed PCM to a cold air intake? I want to build my own(intake) but I havent the money(or knowledge [yet]) for a pcm soo can you mount one on the stock?

no, u dont have to reprogram the pcm to install a cool air intake, but horsepower would be improved more if you do. probly not worth the cost of the pcm, unless you are also installing an aftermarket exhaust, and smaller pullley (gtp only obviously)

yeah, definetly don't need a rp pcm but you might look in the market for a pcm tray if you build your own intake and end up removing the stock airbox, less you want to cut the top half off.

Alot just use Ty-raps to hold the PCM down as there are plenty of holes below the stock air box to mount the PCM...........~Larry~
