I have a 93 240SX convertible just wondering what i should do with it... Was looking at a JDM SR20-DET (S15) complete with 6-Speed Tranny... What do You Guys Think?

ya do that and a S13 silvia conversion to the front, drop it an inch and a 1/2 and put on some 17's. The s15 swap is expensive, but I would either turbo the KA and swap in a manual transmission, or use a S13 SR20DET with a 5spd.

You don't see many S13 slivia convertibles with turbo 5spds in the states, in fact I can't really recall any.

I seen a couple pictures of them from Japan and it looks pretty cool.

:iagree:

get a redtop 5spd SR20DET and put it in your convertable... i can't ever remember seeing a 5spd convertable with an SR20DET...but then I haven't looked at as many from japan as others have.

I have a 92 'Vert with a RB20det being installed as we speak. I will be picking it up in Seattle August 6th.

I am planning to do a Silvia front.. but can't decide between s13 and s15...

The s15 sr20 is great... but i have heard the 6 speed is a little week if you ever want to up boost.

If you want a RB20.. I can hook you up with one from a vendor I know for $1200 plus shipping

Good luck with your project.

$1200 for a RB20? That's a good price. How many miles on the motor and does that include the trans? And how much for s/h?

do the S13 front end

its pretty rare to see that in states, and it flows better with the body lines. S15 front ends look like shit on coupes IMHO

yeah.. $1200 is a great price.. that's why I mention it.
It includes the entire front clip.. engine, 5 spd trans, ecu, uncut harness, dash gauges, etc... Many times they include front suspension, steering wheel, FMIC, etc... But, not always so I can't garauntee. Shipping is not included... usually $300 to $700 depending on location and loading dock vs. home drop.

These clips are from perfect condition used JDM cars... NOT JUNKYARDS. They are bought at auction, cut in half and shipped here.

Any other questions, let me know.
thanks

They aren't comon because all convertables were automatic from factory.
