Instrument Panel Not Working

The car had a fire under the front drivers seat. damage to the seat, steering wheel, and headliner.
The panel with the security, abs and other idiot lights above the instrument pod works fine. The heater controls and radio don't work either. Are there wires under the seat for these? Any other reasons why this might happen?
