I have been working on this for about a week now! I cut open the doors and hood, shaved the body lines, redid the door handles, gas door, shaved tails, tail gate, front corner lights, front bumper, pinch weld under the cab and molded roll pan. Body dropped the bed 3 inches. Built a cowl hood. A supra 2JZ,turboed, wired and plumbed with the intercooler and all. Oh, and cant forget the matching rear end! Let me know what you think!

I hate it. Ugly. Terrible work. I hate you, too.

Just kidding. Hot as always. So what's with you getting down with engine detail all of a sudden? I like it - totally rockin' your models out. Can't wait to see you do this thing - here's to hoping it doesn't get shelved like all other 176 models you're working on right now!

Ahhhhh, brings me back to the old days when I used to build lowrider trucks (basically before I ever went to an actual model shop and found so many more cars I would rather build). I love it, It almost makes me want to build another one just see how much better I could build it, now that I am 12 years older. Can't wait to see more progress and hopefully a fininshed project one day

rear end no longer looks like that! I cut it all apart except the gear box and cv shafts! I have to scratchbuild the rear suspension so it has a smooth transition with the scratch frame!

Also, I still have to detail the motor. Needs the vacuum lines, fuel lines, fuel linkage and spark plug wires

willimo

Looks hot. You need sunglasses to scope that motor, though... With the detail you're putting in, you might should consider filling that enormous hole in the intake manifold - on the side facing the engine. If you cut a peice of styrene very carefully, so it just fits in the slot, you could get away with painting it orange like the block and not have to worry about the chrome, because it's supposed to look like that, right? Tee-hee.

Your rear end will look great, but I have a suggestion there, too (gee, am I helpful or what?) If you use the rear end from an S2000 kit, you won't have to scratchbuild anything. The subframe is already tubular, so you could attach it to the sccratch tube frame and it would look like it belongs. Plus, that hot little double wishbone set up will tuck right into the rims, and give you plenty of room back there. And it's really easy to make the track narrower or wider as you need, I did that a couple weeks ago... for something... secret.

Anyway, this is gonna be sweet. I'm glad you're into engine detail.... it's gonna make your models pop people right in the face. How hot is that?

If I have said a thousand times I will say it again, your truck builds are excellent. Personally, I hate trucks with a passion, but your builds are superb and intrest me (and also make me want to build one).

thnx everyone!

willimo- i planned on filling in the slot but didnt want to worry about the chrome, so thnxs for the tip on paintin it orange. I already filled in the hole in the top of the gear box already and painted it to match!

mikey-mike--thanks alot man! means alot comin from such a picky ass! lol j/k man......go ahead and build a truck! i want to see!

I saw that at A hobby shop and my dad didn't wan't to spend $30 on a Toyota Pickup and said I I wanted I could pay for it. So my question is was it curbside? I know the interior and 2JZ are from the AMT F&F kit. And is it worth $30? Otherwise yours looks sweet

Hey man, thnx for givin up the info on me! Nice to see you care! I am okie dokie! No storm damage! Made it out lucky. Storm went just south of us, and i mean just south like 10 miles! But where it did make land fall, there was mass destruction. All our prayers go out to the people of Punta Gorda,Port cheorlet, lakeland and all the cities affected by Charlie! It was nice to see everyone in my city take the storm so seriously. Everyone was told to leave, and they did! The people down south never saw it coming. When it was still near the keys, feeder bands from the storm that consist of lines of thundrstorms that knocked out there power and all warnings that were sent to them. The never were evacuated because it was supposed to hit my county(sarasota, fl). Winds were up to 145mph sustained and gusts up to 170 mph. Once again, all our prayers to go out to everyone affected!
