Msd Ignition

Hey I was wondering if anybody uses the MSD igniton systems, namely the 6A and 6AL, and what your opinion is on each? I have gone through two 6ALs in the time a 6A still runs. Also anybody experience engine run on forever? I can shut my engine off by pressing the gas tank switch in my truck but is that a good idea perminently? Any input is appreciated

I use an MSD 6AL and haven't had any of the problems you've listed. My $.02 is that the unit works fine. I noticed smoother revving from idle to abt 3k. I did have to replace my wires as they were arcing anywherethe wires chaffed.
