I am going to be purchasing a 2003 mitsubishi lancer evo 8, and i have been scoping out some modifications i want to add to it. I just want some suggestions for a few of the parts. Should i go short ram intake or cold air intake. Cuz im not sure if (AEM or INJEN) make cold air intakes for the evo's. Next, im not sure wether to buy a catback exhaust and get some turbo manifolds, or if i shud get a turboback down pipe, with a cat delete pipe and then throw on a midpipe with a muffler. I just cant decide between those 2 mods. I also plan on getting boost controller and boosting at about 19 psi, and getting a new BOV. If i had more money, i'd do the turbo upgrade and other higher HP gains, but for my budget, this is what i can afford. And if i could get some suggestions on these parts. POST 'em up!!

Check out Bushur Racing. Dude has been modding 4G63 motors for years. He's got some nice stuff for the EVO.

Go with a Cat-back first because they provide good power gains with a turbo car like that. I'm not allowd to post a web-site because one of the moderators has problem with me, for no reason. But, you may wanna change your mind about the intakes, I here they may make the car behave different. After the cat-back, do the manifold.

go with the bushur or the ams stuff. they got some goodies for cheap. if youre going to do it then get the turbo back exhaust with the magma coffee can. it has a really nice sound. i have that on my wrx and will buy the same thing when i get my mr in april.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but if anyone out there knows the answer help me out. I was wondering if an engine swap could be done. Can the EVO's engine be swapped into a standard US edition OZ rally edition lancer?

only thing i can say is you can't expect to get hp without opening your wallet you can do little things here and there but for any serious hp your gonna be spending money.
