Electrical problem???

ok guys bare with me here, i am very mechanically challenged, i dont know much about cars so help me out here my driver side power window will not go down, i have a 1999GT grand prix... i hit a pot hole one night and the next day i wasnt able to get it down. it started working again for a while, but now its all messed up again...if there is anyone out there near the Manassas area that can help me out let me know!!!

Happen to my 97 and it turned out to be one of the wires to the switch came lose. Took the door panel off to check motor and seen wire. Worked well for a year, then the motor went out.
