2002 Eclipse: Removing Head Unit

I'm curious if anyone here knows if there is any specific way to remove a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse head unit. I tried prying it off, but I didn't want to pry too hard b/c I don't want to destroy anything. Is that the correct way to take the stock head unit out? Or is there a different way? Thanks a lot for the responses.

hey mang i got just the thing ... what you do is look under where the cigarette liter is at. youll see to screws for the stero and a/c panel... take those out and you can unscrew the hole head unit out. cause thats what i did. hehe i just asked the dealer they helped me out....lemme know if it worked

Once you get those screws out you'll have to pull on the bezel to get it off. You might lose a clip or two back there though... damn cheap Mitsu clips.
