Weird problem with my '95 Aerostar

I now have an annoying click behind the dashboard. It sounds like a loose connection to a speedometer cable, (which it doesn't have). It clicks faster when I accelerate, hit a bump, turn a corner, etc.. The sound is very similar to the sound that happens when you slam on the brakes fast. It seems to be located right behind the instrument panel. Any clues???

I went through the same problem with my 95 aerostar, just about drove me nuts. I finally discovered it was the switch from the door open sensor from the side sliding door, as you go down the road it may click on and off continually. Might try to bypass the sensor first, I took mine out.
