Hello everybody i am new to the forum and i would like to share a problem i am having with my 2000maxima. I have a bose stereo and one day my 8 inch sub blew . Then i decided to by another aftermarket amp and run it on the same line as the 8 inch and then hook a 10 inch subwoofer to the amp. Worked great but amp burnt a channel so i took it back to the place i got the amp from and they gave me another and hooked it back up. They did something which caused it not to sound as powerful. i have come to find out they are running the amp of the signal from the door speakers now because they cannot find the signal from the eight. My question is how can we find the original signal from the eight inch. what was pushing the eight was their some type of inline signal enhancer that may have been stolen from me when they were hooking up the amp. Does anybody have any suggestions or may'be even a specs wiring diagram of the bose system and it's speakers and it's amp in a 2000 maxima se :banghead: .

you should wait until the maxima.org is up again and ask over there under the systems area... they would know

As I understand, Bose 8" sub is powered by a little amp. If that is the case, then it seems like you're trying to run two amps, one after each other. I would not recommend that.
It may not be the answer you're looking for, however my best advice is run wires to the new amp from the headunit. You can get those Hi-to-low converters in pretty much any audio store.
