Catching the Dexcool problem early?

Well, I have been reading a lot about dexcool lately, especially with the "Mushy Brownies" post earlier. In my 2000 GPGT, I decided to check what it looked like. In my reservoir, there are little whiteish/orange chunks floating around with a lot of brown "splatter" around the top of it. Under the radatior cap there was a lot of the chunky things. I only have 41000 miles on it, and the stuff is definately not very orange anymore, more brownish...
With what i have been reading, I am leaning twords doing a coolant system flush and putting the the green stuff. Even though they say use dexcool only, is it alright to put that stuff in there? Either that, or should I just get some new dexcool and do a simple flush instead of a chem flush.
Thanks for any help!

Many people switch to the green stuff. Main thing to do is make sure the system is flushed really good. You dont want the dex and green mixing unless you like jello.

there's always room for jello...
