Hi everybody I'm Curt, I just got a '94 ex250 and can't wait to ride it. I haven't insured or gotten a helmet yet but i have to get it running good first. Does anybody know where I can find some good troubleshooting/general maintenance/just plain good information about taking care of the bike? Right now it will start and idle and even ride around a lil but it's choking itself with gas (gas out the mufflers & carbs) I cleaned out the airbox, checked the carb bowls for gunk, and put new plugs in it, but besides the idle i don't know much about adjusting the bike. I've been working on older cars for the last few years but this is the first time i've touched a bike, sure like it alot more lol. Can't wait to get out and do some cruisin (it's all i want to do after roofin all day). Anyways, anybody have any ideas on what i could do before I just end up taking it to the Grey Boy Kawasaki dealership Tues?

get a service repair manual. They tend to have a lot of useful info and tips.

ive got a 91 ninja 600r ihad that sme problem and it was in my floats the needles had a groove in them from sitting to long. try installing new float needles and seats. and set the floats in water and see if they stay afloat if they dont they need to be replaced. also get a repair manual for that bike it will help you save alot of money if youre a diy kind of guy
