u know what u should do is gamble lol "kidding" anyways get that trannie fixed and then go to a junk yard and find a fender then get it done and repainted and i bet u will still have left over money. Check it out u dont need no front bodykit bumber it's fine how it is man come on honestly from one VR4 owner to another u dont need one of those.

3700 should get your car rolling in style again.

I've always been a fan of the stock look of the car. The carbon fiber hood won't take anything away from it. If you can get a fender from someone parting out the car, you might have enough money left over for a turbo upgrade :iceslolan

oh yeah! that would be very nice.
question, arent there some upgrade kits that come with upgraded injectors?

how much weight does the carbon fiber hood save you?

~20-30lbs depending on the brand, and type of vehicle.

THey just look really sexy.

youngvr4: GET HOOD PINS if you go with a CF hood.

With hood pins can't somone just open up your hood and fuck with your car? Or does the release in the "cockpit" still work?

That depends on the hood manufacturer and the style of hood pins. You can get hoods with factory latches and washer nozzel holes and use the main release, or get locking hood pins on a hood with no latch...or any combination of the two. I use Sparco pins with an OEM latching hood.

It isn't a VR4, but here is a quick pic:

I wish mine had washer nozzle holes. :( I hate when some shit gets on the windshield, especially on the highway, and there is nothing I can do about it.

hmmmm.... I don't remember if I've seen the injectors come with any of the tubo upgrade packages. If you go with 13Gs you don't have to upgrade the fuel system, but you'd need to if you go past that. The 13s will run over 1500 though so you if you do go that route, you may not want to step to the 15Gs which are close to 2K and need the fuel system too.

Don't skimp! Go for the 15s even of you have to spend some of your own cash, hrrrm but you do have to fix your tranny and the actual damage....

Plan on spending close to $2500 for the tranny. I heard maaco doesnt do a very good job there paint tends to blister and peel.

Don't get me wrong I love black, I owned a black on black 91 Stealth RT. However, every time I drove it, the car needed washing. I got pretty good at doing it my self (didn't trust the detergents in the drive threw). Seemed to get worse in wet weather, and you live in Seattle! enough said. I only mentioned the stock 99 nose because I like that AC Cobra look and was thinking of putting one on my Spyder. The prep work to change the whole color of any car is jinormos, This pw is what keeps the paint job looking good for years to come and is sometimes skimped on in the low budget world. I've been told to do the pw my self and then take the car to high budget shop for critic, then do the fix as many times as it takes. Get a estimate from the highend shop. Then the go to your other shop Macco or Earl Shive for a estimate.
Good job on getting the check in your name and good luck on the new project.
