Here's the rundown so far:
$20,000 to start

1997 EX Coupe $4350
Title transfer and other expenses $150
CR-VTEC complete swap $4000
DRAG Turbo $3500

we have $8,000 and 3 money spending stages after this

Ok team. It's time for rim/tire, suspension, and brake decisions.

let's not get into an uproar over so much at one time.. I'll construct a careful poll. :D

Photoshoppers... photoshopping wheels on our coupe would be awesome
http://images.autotrader.com/823/470/82347027_004698_240x145.jpg

remember that EX's have front discs and rear drums.

Let's get rollin'. Don't forget website addresses and pricing information. :)

ok we need a HP Big Brake Kit, and we need some Volk wheels, I am thinking the new ones that came out, all u money pinchers can kiss it, becuase without Volks your car is not a tight ride, j/k, I am open to options, getting on the photoshop thing now.

Hehe, photoshop that crap-picture? It's gonna look hella fake no matter what.

Anyway, power transfer is one of the most important parts of a setup. I think we should invest money into Apex N1 Coilover/Shock assembly. I believe they retail for $900/set (thats what I was quoted).

As for Wheels/Tires, how about some nice silver 17x7 Racing Hart CP10's. Wrap them in Yoko A520's 205/40/17... agressive as hell and cheap price. We could probably pick up at set for $1500 w/tires.

Stoppers, AEM Big Brake kit? Honestly, I don't know jack about brakes.

ok a stage I brake kit http://www.hpracing.com/images/brakes/stage1_relocation.jpg 13 inch rotor, can we complain? oh yes and some nice gen 2 coils
http://www.hpracing.com/images/suspension/Gen2CoilOvers.jpg now I say some KYB shocks becuase coils and shocks will run just like springs and we have to go struts I say we use Number One. not to over priced but still good stuff.

no need to spend that much money on brakes, what i say we do is get a set of Brembo rotors for 59 bucks each + 16 shipping at http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=4496. For brake pads we got OEM Honda.
Also we can go to with a rear disc break conversion, i forgot the site where it says how to do it step by step but as i recol you would go to a junk yard and just find a del sol si or civic si and take off its rear disk break/assembly. Then with installation/modefication just make the car have rear disk brakes with just spending like 250 bucks on the parts then couple of hundred on labor. Better then spending 2k+labor on those kits i think.

Well, I agree we need disc brakes on the rear. And if we are going to get all this new tires rims suspension, then some old dirty beat up brakes would suck IMO. Yeah very cheap, but cheap in both ways. I do not see the point in buying such big rims and all and then prolly you lot will want to lower it so we will have to bang out the wheelwells so the tires don't scrape.... I don't see why we don't just put some nice 15's on it and get some decent grippy tires and save ourselves a few hundred dollars and some headaches so we can lower it a inch or two with a decent suspension and use the extra money to get some good brakes for the rear. and new pads for all four brakes. Those run cheap, about $250 for all four. Sorry I havn't got any prices yet, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Also we will need those sway bars for front and back and those do not run real cheap either.

Page 180 in the Feb. Super Street has them for $90/tire. I know you can talk Discount Tire down in price. I agree with you on the Wheel/Tire setup, however I think we should front the money for the Apex N1 Coil/Shock assembly.

I haven't the slightest idea about shocks, or brake kits. My suggestion would be definately to do a rear brake conversion for sure and to match the rotors up front. Drop it low but not scrappin' your tire on the wheel well low, just an inch or two (more likely 2). But for the wheels the Konig Absolute in Graphite (http://www.konigwheels.com/images/124_b.jpg) would look pretty good. I like 'em alot! Konig's suggested retail is set at $237.14 each. But man do the ever look sweet :D:D:D!!!

Why not just go with what I have? Aside from some new rotors and pads, I think it would pretty much do the trick.

APEXi WS - 800
Neuspeed strut bar (upper front) - 90
Suspension Tech. rear sway bar - 120
Integra rear disc conversion - 300

Total - 1310

Then if we want new rotors, we can get power slots all around for less than 300 dollars.

The wheels is where this thing gets tricky. They can get expensive very easily, especially if we try to please both the show crowd and the performance crowd. (light wheels that also look hot, tend to be expensive.)

I have one suggestion for wheels, these velox vx-8 R wheels I have been looking at are nice in my opinion. Plus they are only 16", so its kind of an improvise between show (17"-18") and go (14"-15"). To top it off they are 17lbs. which is not too shabby for paying.....125 a piece!
I found them at wheelsmart.com or something, you can get a set of four, for 500 even. Then, all you have to do is get some good tires.

ITR 5-lug conversion with wheels :D

Wheels and brakes in 1!

$1800 on average! gunmetal 15" ITRs...yessss!!!

Go with piscorpio's suspenion setup....

leaves us with what? $6000 for everything else?

2000 seems about right for this spending stage. That'll leave 6,000 for the system, kit, interior, and any other touch ups that we need.

I want some nice wheels on this thing. I move for Racing Hart CP-10's. They look sweet on the Vortech Civic, and i think they would look good on this one too with a conservative kit and stuff.

1350 for 17x7's at modcar.com, with Yokohama Paradas included. plus, these only weigh 17lbs.

for those who don't want big ones, ive got 15x6.5 at wheelmax.com for 799, and come with tires (brand unknown)

As for the suspension setup, I should probably leave that to everyone else. I know that Koni's are nice, eibach springs do the job right, and whatever break kit you guys like is cool with me.

I would attach a picture, but i have no idea how to...
