I apologise in advance for the language, but fuck this! I’ve had enough of the bullshit going on here at the moment. If this is how a moderator acts, then I’m thankful that I’m not one! I thought they were supposed to lead by example. All I can say is KB you’re in the right crew! :mad:

For me a forum is no different than talking to someone face to face. You use the same language as you would if you were talking to them in real life. Call me a whiner or whatever you want, but I don’t believe there is anything wrong with being a little bit nice. Hell isn’t there enough negativity in this world without bringing it to AF as well??!! :mad:

I swear. Thats just me. I dont think I should change for anyone. I try to tell people to use a PM for a personal message. Well, because thats a commence sense thing to do. I tell them this bluntly, then people jump on my ass. I try to tell them in a nice, easy going manner, with smilies put in there to show I am saying it in good fun. I don't believe FTO was talking about thread-closing. She was talking about the way kb (and a bunch of others - but particularly him, given that he's a moderator) has been of late; really needlessly aggressive to people, and seemingly proud of it. No it's not about swearing, it's about belittling others and being aggressive. Unfortunately, the thread that got FTO particularly angry with him, he deleted, so you can't now see exactly what she meant.

I think there is nothing wrong with swearing-we all do it and seeing as KB is in his early 20's that is a common thing to do at that age

He isn't agressive either he is rather placid to my experience provided you don't get ont the wrong side of him.

AF is well moderated in my opinion

I don't see that as an acceptable solution.We all come here to have fun,and the people who are supposed to help make sure this happens are the moderators.If a mod takes it upon himself to behave like a halfwit,and spoil the forum for a large number of the other members,the only recourse that we have is to complain to Igor.I don't care how long anybody has been here,or what bullshit they care to spin to justify their own behaviour,foul language as an attention-seeking device is irritating,and alter ego posting is childish.We should be able to expect a more mature approach from those who are supposed to be maintaining order.

I was going to leave way back but i had reasons. not just bc a mod didnt like what i had to say.

I must be missing something. I haven't seen any problems here.. Maybe I'm just too late to catch stuff that's been deleted.

If you guys/girls think it's bad here, go to Car and Driver for a week. Deal with the one and only moderator there CDvoice. His short tempered, snappy assinine responses will make you think you have died and gone to heaven when you come back here.

My hat's off to the moderators here. You guys are friendly, well versed, and seem quite capable of difusing a situation before it gets out of hand.

Time for my .02 in here.

First of all, I dont see what all the problems are about. Sure there is the mysterious mod who is deleting and or closing threads, but im sure the moderating staff and Igor are all working to deal with that as quickly as possible.

And before any of you go off 1/2 cocked in my direction, let me say im not taking any sides here but.....

Why the hell are ppl $hitting on kb? Have a problem with him?, then come out and say it, or clam up and stop whining. I personally think that there is too much whining going on here. Ok, so you dont like someone....fine, that shouldnt make or brake your opinion of the boards anyways.

Dont like the way OT has been lately?, branch out. As I said in a different thread, AF has much more to offer than just OT.


C'mon ppl, lets all try to enjoy what we have here. AF was and IS still a great board, but all these negitive attitudes are ruining it.

See, before you jump in with speculations. get some facts first.

There was a thread posted by steel. It was addressed to another person. i was titled Xivera. thats it. In it, he said, hey, I like your avatar. I kindly, in nice words, without swearing, or saying anything bluntly. Told him that something like this was best done via PM. He obviously didnt get what I was saying. So I said it again, a little more bluntly. Then Steels fragile feelings were hurt. Oh no, what shall I do. :rolleyes: Then FTO comes in and says I was a ass for doing that. So I laid out the obvious on my post. Explaining how I made sure to use smilies, winkings, and emoticons to show that what I was saying needed to be taken into consideration, but dont take the sarcasm so serious. Obviously people here cant read everything. They only see what they want. Now as for deleting the post. I have yet to find out who did that. That is what really pisses me the fuck off. I in no way delete posts just because I dont like them. So dont blame me for that. :rolleyes:

There have been two threads just like his discussed in the past week. Does he not know what the particular policy is on that? After taking time out last night to think about this whole situation, you’re totally right Hummerman! Why should I let a couple of fuck nuts spoil what is an otherwise great forum. Now that I’ve discovered that wonderful feature “add this person to your ignore list”, for those that can be added that’s exactly what I intend to do.

I'm glad to see you back, FTO. We all have our own ways of dealing with stuff like this, and sometimes a week off is the best option. But feel free to use the ignore button if you have to, it's there for your convienience :)

To everyone: My thoughts on this. Pointing fingers is just not cool. KB has his own style of moderating, and now it's being critisized, just like DVS was 6 or 7 months back. He held through and is now a highly regarded mod. Now, just because someone has their own attitude doesn't allow you to place the blame of everything on him/her. When KB says that he did not close or delete any threads, I believe him without a doubt, because I know he would not stoop down to that level in order to "protect his reputation." In addition, all us mods are working overtime to uncover the identity of the "renegade" mod, and he/she will be dealt with. We're also brainstorming ideas on how to reduce postwhoring. Please don't blame us for everything, this isn't as easy as it looks! :D
