2002 Max w/Bose 6 disc question

Here's one that has me puzzled- I just bought a 2002 GLE w/24500 on the clock. The 6 disc changer works fine, the only problem is when i play a cd I get no sound from the left side speakers. If I use the radio , am or fm all is fine sound is on left and right, only when cd is used does the left side go silent.

I haven't checked the tape deck yet.

Anybody have any clue?

Same thing happens to me. I have a 2003 with bose 6 disc. From what I've read, it's a known problem with that particular radio. Do a search on this forum, because I remember somebody posting something about it before. I cant stand it. And, my CD player skips all the time too.

it is a known prob w/ a tsb from nissan get it fixed b4 the b2b runs out

i know its 4 a 2003 but it may be the same or similar prob

i have that problem. i was going to get it replaced by nissan but it's just gonna happen again. it's a defective unit. nissan'll charge you $250 to have it sent to bose and repaired/replaced. they'll charge you an hour labor too. I'll probably just get an aftermarket deck, or maybe a TV.
