is there a vin on s13 engines?

i was woundering if there are vin numbers on the engines. i tried to find it but i couldnt. i want to find it cuz it seems like the guy i bought it from got a new engine. im not sure. i forgot to ask him that. i want to know if its a different engine. if it is then i'll keep it, if its not, then i get a sr20 or a rb20 or rb25. hopefully its a old engine. :iceslolan

are you talking about the vin number on the ka engine>? if so the vin is located on the near the heat shield by the firewall. It is on the engine near where the tranny attaches. Hope that helps.

oh and that isnt' teh vin number on the engine it is the serial number
