Hi to all,
I did a burnout with my 2002 SS and looked in the rearview and saw a lot of blue smoke. Will burning rubber make blue smoke on the pavement?? I sure hope so. I switched to Royal Purple 5-30W today before the burnout.
Thank You,

Robert

Yes , synthetic. The manufacturers claim it will give up to 3% increase in performance. Motorcyclists use it commonly. Go to royalpurple.com
I bought it at a local parts supplier (NAPA) The guy there said one of his customers swears by it. I first heard about it on this forum.

Not true. When synthetics first became popular manufacturers were nevrous about the conventional oil and synthetic not mixing properly. the systems are very refined now and you can go back and forth if you choose. Not sure why anybody would goto regular oil after using synths though.

well, thats kinda an old wives tale, the truth is you cant use it on break in, but you can go back from synthetic to regular oil without causing any damage to an engine.
